You already know how much I love and adore my favorite little niece. So I don't think this should surprise you that I am starting this post with a few of my favorite pictures from the start of the day.
This part of the Keithley crew took the kayak out first thing in the morning, when the waves are non-existent and the water is uber-calm. Avery loved it. Actually, I don't think she totally understood what was going on. But since she didn't get upset and seemed to be having a good time, I'll classify that as "loving it."
Family. I love them. Absolutely love them. Like the kind of love them where you can't live without them, love them.
Love it! I will just call this the "Boys Just Wanna Have Fun Event." Don't believe me? Just scroll through these next photos. Classic.
In the midst of the "boys just wanna have fun event," Dustin managed to find the crab. Actually, I believe the crab found him. Found him right on his fourth toe, where he felt it most. I love the way he reacts....if you've ever been pinched by a crab unexpectedly, you know that that is an absolutely normal reaction.
These next pictures make me smile. Actually, they make me laugh out loud. Belly laugh even. We were having fun with the camera and the frisbee. In my mind, they make a great combination. Check out these "frisbee mishaps." Despite how it may appear, our family is actually full of coordinated, athletic people.
The Yum-Yum Shop. It's.....yum, yum! We grabbed the beach cruisers and headed down to the icecream shop for one final treat. Aves loved it - her first try of frozen deliciousness.
Our last night of vacation. Boo-hoo. We made our final trip down to the pier, sat back and listened to some lively music. And of course, admired the folks who make this place a regular hangout. There are some interesting ones that is for sure.
We hate goodbyes, especially when we know it'll be a long time till we see family again. This little girl is growing up too fast on us, so I just want to freeze time and enjoy every stinkin' bit of her being our precious little girl.
