~Myrtle Beach: Day 6~

By day 6, our daily routine has become just that – very routine. So we did the same old thing today as we’ve done the first 5 days of our beach vacation. So, rather than show you more photos of the same thing, we’ll highlight the 3 other things that happened today. But I will warn you; this post will be photo overload. Did you hear me? O.VER.LOAD. Ok, warning given.

First – a few of the boys hit up the golf course for a round in the hot, humid sun. Uncle Jeff, Jimmy, and Dustin spent the morning at one of the many hundreds of golf courses in Myrtle Beach. This town is like the golf capital of the US. Not kidding. Dustin even commented when we landed at the airport a few days earlier how odd it was that you can rent golf clubs at the airport ticket counters. They don’t mess around in the south. And of all times he forgot to bring his golf stuff, most conveniently it would be this trip. Hints the cargo shorts, cotton polo, and 360’s shoes.

Second – we did some Keithley Family photo shoots. Three to be exact. We had only planned on doing one, but didn’t plan far enough ahead to let our camera have enough time to defog before taking it from the cold air conditioned house to the humid warm air. So, some of these first ones are a bit foggy, but I still like them. The second is at the Gulfstream Café where we had dinner. And the third was back out on the beach at home before the sun set. I had a really hard time choosing my favorite, so I just included a whole bunch.

A number of years ago, when Alex still looked up to Josh as his much older cousin, he couldn't wait to have muscles and be able to take pictures together like this. Funny, isn't it? So the three of them did a little photo shoot. I think Jimmy was inside and didn't make it out here for this "boys bonding."

Third – today was the one night that we leave the house as a group and go out to eat. We tried a new place this year and I think we were all pretty satisfied. It was some yummy southern seafood. All fried. I mean deep fried. Fried calamari. Fried hushpuppies. Fried flounder. Fried shrimp. Fried potatoes (ok, we call them French fries). Fried, fried, fried!

One our way back home, Dustin and I walked, thinking it may help us get rid of all the calories we just consumed. In the meantime, we snapped a few photos of the ridiculous homes that line the street of where we stay in Garden City. These things are crazy huge, crazy nice, and crazy expensive. Agree with me?
