Last weekend, we headed up to the base of Mt. Hood (Welches) with some friends to celebrate our good friend's 30th birthday - Wahoo, Kelly Couch! It was a wonderful weekend filled with lots of relaxing and yummy food - those are always a great combo in my book. And when you do it with such wonderful friends, it is the cherry on top. :)
There was still about a foot of snow on the ground there from the storms that hit the week prior, so even though it was drizzling, it still made us feel like we were in a winter wonderland.
We (well, the boys) built an igloo...

....we took it all in (great planning, Hans!)
....and we (the adults) got to be kids again!
This was "Bob" - the whistler. The kiddos were so caught up by the fact that they could "go turn on Bob's button and he would whistle at them." It was a hoot watching them, and they never realized it was just the boys.
We played games, got in the Word, fellowshipped....
And then ate some AMAZING dessert...German chocolate cake cookie sandwhiches!
We ended the weekend with a heated game of Pictionary - boys verse girls! Seriously, it was down to the wire but the boys ended up winning on an "All-play" when we were both on the last square. URGH! Ladies, we'll get them next time. :)

Looks like a great time! I had forgotten that Kelly and Hannah both had birthdays in March!
