The Big 3-0!

Please excuse the fact that this is now over a month late...wow, winner of the "Worst Wife of the Year" award for this one. Before I completely bash myself, I did have a post all set up on his actual birthday (January 28) wishing him a wonderful 30th. But - it chose not to post as set up. The excuse isn't good enough, I realize that, because it's now been another month and I am just getting around to this. I won't even attempt the rest of the excuses that are rolling around in my brain.

So for Dustin's 30th birthday, I surprised him with a weekend trip to Sunriver with some of our wonderful friends. He was totally surprised and was absolutely thrilled. Thanks to our great friends (the Reygers - wish you guys could have joined us!), we were hooked up with an awesome deal on their amazing home over there. We just love that place to death. The weather was gorgeous, but definitely not typical January weather for Central Oregon. The plan had included a day at the mountain, but with the sun and warm temperatures we nixed that plan and spent a day running, biking, drinking coffee, and the second day a group of us went snowshoeing while the other took their kiddos sledding. We ate wonderful food, shared great fellowship, and celebrated this new decade of life Dustin is entering in style.

I wish I had taken more pictures, but these are what I have for now. When I get the rest from the Welters (bike ride and snow shoeing), I'll attempt to get those added. :) I've said that before with other posts and it doesn't always hapen.
