After spending actual Christmas with the DeGroots, we hopped on a plane to head out to Nebraska where my brother and his family live! With new baby Aiden arriving on the 20th, everyone came to them this year. Unfortunately, my wonderful sister and new awesome new fiance, Paul, got stranded out in NYC. They were out there visiting his family and got stuck in that horrible snow storm. So our Christmas festivities were delayed until the 31st. That was a bummer....and also the fact that I took all these awesome pictures of our family Christmas (as well as my baby sister trying on wedding dresses!) and our memory card somehow got corrupted. So, no pictures! I am holding out hope just in case Dustin's aunt and uncle can use their magic powers (aka "camera know-how") to bring them back. If so, I'll post the rest!
If you've checked our blog in the past, you may remember that my family always does a normal family photo (usually dressed in our nice church clothes) and then an annual themed photo. This year was flannel shirts. My dad and Paul both LOVE flannels...maybe to the point of obsession. Paul had enough for his entire army battallion - seriously! :) So here is the one photo we took on Kari's camera.
This crazy - and absolutely adorably cute - girl loves to let Bazi lick her. She actually sticks out here tongue and entices that silly dog. I guess it's ok because they say that a dog's mouth is healthier than a humans.
