This was our year to spend Christmas with the DeGroot side of the family. With 2 new babies and a new brother in-law this year, we had tons of fun. We (minus the Porterfield crew) went to church on Christmas Eve and then headed over to Ashley and Rustin's house for a delicious dinner. They were wonderful hosts!
As per DeGroot tradition (and most families...I think the Keithley's are just an extra special "unique" family that we don't do it this way!), we woke up Christmas morning to open gifts as a family. We started the morning with a story from a Christmas book and then proceeded to open lots of gifts. The "grand finale" was when my MIL got a brand new wedding ring set from my FIL....they've been married almost 35 years and she's never had a diamond ring. It was very exciting!
