Kari and Kristen come to Portland!

On Thursday night, my sister-in-law and one of my long-time friends, Kristen, flew into Portland from Colorado Springs to spend the weekend with me (and Dustin) here in Portland! We have done so much stuff and kept them very busy that I haven't had a chance to keep the blog updated with everything we've been doing. So I'll start with Friday's adventures, and then as I have time, I'll post Saturday, Sunday, and Monday's adventures, too.

I took Kari and Kristen to the Nike campus to visit Dustin for lunch and to see the world headquarters. We walked around campus a bit before grabbing a bite to eat.

Aren't you supposed to run or do something physically active when you're at the Nike campus? Well, we thought so, so we decided to "run" in our picture! When the 3 of us are together, we can be pretty goofy. It's actually usually Kristen and Kari that are goofy and they rub off on me.

I love this man! This is just him getting to show off the amazing place that he works at every single day.

After laying out at the pool for a few hours, we got "cleaned up" and headed into Portland and grabbed some food at Henry's Tavern. One of my favorite things about Henry's is their blueberry beer...the girls tried it but it wasn't their favorite. I guess that means there is more for me! Ha!
On the way home, we decided to take the long way and drive through the rich neighborhoods up in the West Hills. These homes are not only ridiculously expensive, but have the most amazing view of Portland. They overlook the entire city, all of the bridges, the Willamette River, OHSU, a view of Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens on a clear day....the list goes on!
