Cannon Beach, Oregon

The three of us girls drove out west and headed to the coast for the day. We ended up going to Cannon Beach: we grabbed some lunch at a local pizzeria, Kari bought a sarong at the store because it was freezing, and then we walked along the beach for a bit before we were all cold and tired. The lady at this store was halariously weird - she kept telling us that everything would just look smashing on us. Kari and I tried on some dresses, but I decided not to post those pictures. All in all, it was a really fun day!

Josh and Kari have an African theme in their bathroom, so I told her to buy one of these giraffe things because we kept seeing them everywhere we went. She didn't end up buying it. Oh well.

Their first steps in the Oregon coast...the water is ridiculously cold!

We were battling the wind to try and fold this up so that Kari could wrap it around herself to keep a little warmer. It was a struggle.
So we saw this guy laying there and I could have swarn it was Lyle Lovett...most of you probably don't even know who he is, but he used to be a singer and was also married to Julia Roberts for a little while. He grew up in Klein, Texas and went to the same junior high grade school that I did, but obviously many years before me. His parents still live next door to some old family friends of ours.
