~Cherry Pickin'~

Do you have people in your life that you just absolutely love to be around all the time? We do, and we feel so incredibly blessed!!!! The Eischen family is seriously one of the coolest families either one of us has ever known. And not only are they awesome to be around, but they live on a sweet farm that isn't too far from our house...and they love to have people over. So Harley and I jumped in the car Monday morning for a trip up to the farm - a chance for our dogs (who are sisters!) to play together, pick cherries during harvest, hang out with friends, tend to the garden (which is a legit garden, folks!), and just plain old have fun.
The farm is around 350-ish acres, and includes several cherry orchards, plum orchards, wheat fields and the most stunning views of the Portland metro area!!! On a clear day, you can see 5 mountains from their back porch. Ah-maze-ing...I know!

Mandy, the 3 kiddos (Maddie, Luke, and Landon), Meghann, Harley, Chloe, and I headed into Dan's orchard to pick some yummy cherries. These kids are just so much fun to be around, and they are little farmers at heart. There are soooo many cherries, it's crazy. Dustin and I actually went up to the farm the other night so that he could help them with harvest; he worked the 7-12 PM shift with all the Eischen boys.

After picking cherries, we stopped by the "little garden" to pick some raspberries before heading back into the house for lunch. They practically homestead here, so they have just about everything you'd want to eat!!! We'd pick a few and eat a few, pick a few and eat a few.

Harley and I headed home after about 5 hours of fun on the farm. To say the least, she was a tired puppy. And I had fun taking these pictures of her and then using Dustin's new i-Phone to edit them. :)
