The Word, my amazing husband, and a great cup of coffee, together make for a wonderful way to start my morning. The only thing that could have made it better would be to have the day off. Today, that wasn't the case.
When Dustin and I were dating, we used to meet every Thursday morning at 6:00 AM at one of the local Starbucks for breakfast and a bible study through the Word. Since getting married, those Thursday mornings are a rare thing. We can do the same thing (sans the Starbucks) in our own home. However, this morning we thought it would be fun to start our morning at Starbucks. As we are reading through 2 Corinthians, today we read chapter 5. This was a great reminder, especially as we see so many bad things happenening in our world today, that we have the hope of heaven; the hope of a glorious life eternal that is far better than anything we could ever experience here on this earth. What comforting words.
1 Cor. 5:1 - "Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands."

It's so refreshing to hear that you and your husband try to find time to read the bible together. I am trying very hard for me and my husband to do that. Thanks for the encouragement!!
I love your new blog look! I need you to tell me how you did that, I can't figure out how to get more than one picture on the heading part. Oh, and I love your post :)
