~Family Campout~

This past weekend, we spent the long Memorial Day weekend camping with Dustin's side of the family. We set up camp out at Grandma and Grandpa's property in Blodgett, which is pretty much in "the sticks" and out in the middle of nowhere. We had tons of family show up (and all the dogs came, too!) and had a ton of fun just relaxing, eating lots (and lots and lots!) of yummy food, hanging by the campfire, finding very random things to do, and keeping ourselves dry in the rain. We are so blessed to have his family so close and the opportunity to be able to get together like this!
This was the beginning of the way the campsite was set up....

...then we added a few more tarps and umbrellas as the rain kept coming! It looks like a hippie commune, doesn't it?

No concern of running out of fire wood for the weekend!

Aunt Lori and Aunt Jodi working on Saturday morning's yummy breakfast.

The boys set up a "cow pasture golf course" and nicknamed it Johnson National Golf Course.

Dustin and Kyle scoping out the next shot.

Proof that we did have a smattering of blue skies and sunshine from time to time.

Nephew Cole - 5 1/2 months - is getting so big!

Nephew Reid - 8 months - is also getting so big!!

Harley's first camping trip was an ultimate success - she was in absolute heaven!

....just like her daddy!

Cousin Atticus absolutely loved Harley!

She had so much space to run, play, dig, get into mischief....

....and she was out cold on the drive home Monday afternoon.

Cheyenne, the border collie, was herding everything all weekend - the dogs, the horses, and even us people.

This family is a dog-loving family!!! I think we counted at least 12 dogs there throughout the weekend. We were trying to line them up for a photo, but this was the closest we could come.

Tuff was all tuckered out after an afternoon full of running and playing!

Riley and Arena taking a snooze with Uncle Dustin and Reid.

There are 3 horses on the property right now too....this is Dakota.

Dakota used to be Ashley's horse, so this was fun for Reid's first time on a horse to be with Dakota.

This is Jodi's horse, Ally.

And her other horse, Max!
