For those of you who don't know, Dustin LOVES Lance Armstrong and he LOVES cycling. Well, as the Tour de France is wrapping up, Dustin and our friend, Lee, decided to go on a little Tour of their own ~ The Tour de Oregon. I dropped them off in Astoria on Wednesday night and they are making their way down to Junction City by Sunday morning. I think it will equate to more than 225 miles of riding in about 4 days {a proud wife moment: they rode more than 100 miles yesterday}!! It's just the two of them, their bikes, a couple of weather-proof sacks and a bike trailer with minimal spare clothes, socks, and a few power bars for along the way. It must be a guy thing because they were absolutely stoked when I dropped them off, even though it was 20 degrees colder than when we left, it was drizzling, and the sun had nearly set!
I am sure Dustin will have some photos and many stories to share when he returns home, but for now, just keep them and their safety in your prayers. Thanks!

4th of July!!!!
We had a busy day this 4th of July! It started out at 9 AM with some of our good friends at the Hillsboro Parade - the 2nd largest in the state of Oregon! It was almost 2 hours long and we were getting pretty hot by the end. We then hit up the Beaverton Farmer's Market for some fresh berries and yummy bread! Then, we got cleaned up and headed down to Independence, OR for our friends' wedding! It was a hot day but a gorgeous wedding. Congratulations to Tim & Holly!
Erinn & Hannah at the parade...with Pugsly taking a breather! =)
Probably th coolest float of the parade - an oversized grocery cart. Creative!
Cutting the cake - yes, it was very yummy!

Playing catch-up
We went camping a few weekends ago, but I haven't had the time to post these pictures yet. It is one of our favorite spots - Nehalem Bay State Park. The campground is huge and you walk over the bluff and you're on the Pacific. It's gorgeous and we had amazing weather!

Our campsite....just the two of us!

Cooking pancakes for breakfast on the skillet....the electrical outlet was too far from the picnic table, so we used the back of the 4Runner - worked perfectly!
One feasty camping dinner - grilled BBQ chicken, homemade mac-n-cheese, and a lovely green salad with lots of veggies. It was all made right there at our site from scratch!
So, I decided to experiment with our camera a little bit an my lovely husband let me do a little photo shoot! I had fun and these are just a few of the pics...
